Deland Preparatory Academy is a 5th -12th private school located in DeLand, Florida, At DeLand Prep, we believe that it is our responsibility to develop students–mentally, physically, and intellectually. We believe that there is no ceiling for a child's learning capacity. We provide each student with direct academic and development experiences that challenge them on and above grade level. We are dedicated to sound scholarship and to the academic disciplines, helping to foster the development of young people’s curiosity and independent thought. By utilizing the Florida Standards as our school-based curriculum, Deland Prep remains parallel to our local public school district.

 

Deland Preparatory Academy will maintain a smaller student-teacher ratio. The faculty consists of experienced educators who possess either bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in their subject areas. Selected for their knowledge of subject matter, their desire to teach and motivate students, and their willingness to advise and develop co-curricular activities, the faculty serves as positive academic and personal role models.

 

At Deland Prep, children are not lost in a sea of faces, overlooked or overshadowed. Students and their families are known by name. There are many opportunities to become part of our school family. We believe that it takes everyone being a part to make the whole the best that it can be. Parents, students, and staff are involved in building a school community that supports personal growth, learning to share in the responsibility, and reaching out to the community.
