Arrival & Dismissal

On any given day, Deland Prep will manage over 100 students, parents, and employees. The traffic concerns are a choreographed daily event. We make every effort to manage traffic in a way that takes all groups into consideration. To aid in this effort, below are general guidelines for dropping off and picking up students.

 

ARRIVALS: All students are to arrive at school between 7:30 a.m. –  8:00 a.m.  Any student arriving after 8:00 a.m. must sign in at the main office and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

 

Car Drop Off
Car riders must use the Main Entrance. Please do not park and walk in with your student.

 

Walkers
Students who walk to school must use the Main Entrance.

 

School Bus
Students who ride the school bus to school must use the front entrance.

 

DISMISSALS: The school day ends at 2:50 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Friday school dismisses at 1:50 p.m. 

 

Car Pick Up
Students will be in the fellowship hall for their parent/guardian to pick up. Please park your car on to keep the school bus lane clear.

 

Walkers
All walkers will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. 

 

School Bus
Staff and/or bus monitors will escort all students to the bus.

 

Please know that all of us at Deland Prep; administration, staff, custodians, and bus drivers, take seriously the responsibility for our students’ safety. Your full cooperation of this policy, patience, and dedication will make these transitional periods operate smoothly.
